Shell and DoC Systems, Lab 2
Remote Working, gitlab, and LabTS
Chapter 4: Working Remotely from Outside the College
Moving Forward (Exciting Possibilties!)
SSH is a very robust and featured tool, and has many options and settings that you can adjust to make it do all sorts of things.
We’ll be leaving our discussion of SSH here, but be aware that it is capable of much more, and we encourage you to ask questions in your labs about improving your SSH experience and making it work for you!
(For example, you can SSH within an IDE like VSCode, so that your local editor is connected to a remote machine, and you edit, compile, and execute code on the machine you’re connected to. This is very useful for those of you who want to use GPU devices for deep learning courseworks.)
